Privacy Policy – "Auction Mate" Browser Extension and Website

This document outlines the principles of personal data processing and the use of technical information by the AuctionMate browser extension (hereinafter: the "Extension") and the auction-mate.net website (hereinafter: the "Website").
In the event of any discrepancies between this version of the Privacy Policy and versions in other languages, the provisions of the Polish-language version shall prevail.
The data controller is Konrad Budzik, operating in the provision and development of the AuctionMate Extension (hereinafter: the “Administrator”). The Administrator can be contacted via the email address: [email protected].
The Extension uses external authentication (Google or Facebook) for the purpose of creating and managing a user account. Within the account, only the e-mail address is stored. Other data transferred by the identity provider (first name, last name, profile picture, account identifier) are used only transiently and are not stored.
3.1. As part of the external login process, identity providers may make the following data available:
· e-mail address,
· first and last name (if available),
· profile picture (if provided by the User),
· identifier assigned by the identity provider.
Of the above data, only the e-mail address is stored. The remaining data are used solely for the purposes of authentication and are not recorded or retained.
3.2. During the use of the Extension, the following data may be processed:

These data are processed in a way that prevents the identification of a specific user, in particular by not linking them to the user’s identifying information and by ensuring they cannot be reconstructed in a manner that would allow personal identification.
Data related to listings come from the activity of users using the extension and are provided voluntarily, with consent.
The Administrator does not combine technical data (e.g., IP address, UUID) with statistical data regarding listings as described in this policy.
Data is processed exclusively for the following purposes:
· Fulfillment of the Administrator’s legal obligation – Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in connection with the Accounting Act – legal obligation – includes the processing of data necessary for carrying out financial settlements.
Data related to listings may be processed in an automated manner for the purpose of generating price analyses, charts, and price change notifications. This processing does not produce any legal effects for the user nor does it materially affect their situation.
As part of the Extension’s operation, data may be processed by cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure, which may result in the transfer of data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In such cases, data is transmitted to the service provider, i.e., Microsoft Corporation, and may therefore be transferred to the United States. According to the European Commission’s decision, companies participating in the U.S. Data Privacy Framework, including Microsoft Corporation, provide an adequate level of data protection in line with EEA standards.
If you accept analytics cookies on the Website, Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) may also process data, including transfers outside the EEA (e.g., to the United States). Google provides appropriate safeguards as described in its privacy documentation.
Users can obtain a copy of the applied safeguards by contacting the Administrator.
Data are stored only for the period necessary to achieve their processing purpose and are subsequently deleted or anonymized:

If a user account is deleted, data associated with the account (including the e-mail address) will be removed, except for data required for accounting and legal obligations.

Data are not transferred to any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
The Extension: does not use any analytical tools (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, Sentry, Hotjar, etc.).
Website: the auction-mate.net website (landing pages, blog, download page, and payment confirmation pages) uses Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site. Analytics cookies are set only after you give consent via the cookie banner. Data may include page views, approximate location, device type, browser, and interactions with download buttons. Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data or declining cookies on your next visit. Payments: processed through an external provider – Stripe. Data necessary to complete the payment is processed directly by the payment provider in accordance with its privacy policy. The Administrator does not store payment card data or the user’s full billing information.
Under the GDPR (in cases provided for by law), the User has the right to:

The Administrator will respond promptly, no later than within 30 days.
The Extension may only be used by individuals who are at least 16 years of age or have the consent of a legal guardian.
If information is received indicating that data from a person below the specified age has been processed, the data is immediately deleted.
The controller implements appropriate technical and organizational measures, including:
Extension: Extension does not use cookies for
marketing or advertising purposes.
It uses the browser's local storage (localStorage/sessionStorage) solely to
store temporary data required for comparison functionality – this is stored
locally and not transmitted to any server.
Website: The Website uses local storage to remember your analytics cookie choice. If you accept, Google Analytics cookies (_ga, ga*) may be stored. These Website cookies are not used by the Extension.
This policy may be periodically updated. Changes will be published in the repository or extension store from which the Extension was downloaded. Continued use of the Extension after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
